Tuvan sacrifice

There is a wonderful and at the same time terrible story:

They said, before the war started, the defense minister Sergei Shoigu and the president Vladimir Putin had decided to make a sacrifice in the name of the victory. Shoigu was born in the Republic of Tuva in East Siberia, where the traditional religion is Tibetan Buddhism mixed with ancient shamanism. So, the story goes, the Russian minister decided that the best way to reach their goal is the ritual killing of a bear. And the question is, what is a person even thinking if he not only unleashes a bloody war but also believes that killing a bear would bring him victory?

The lithopaedion - the cause of the war

A lithopedion, or stone baby, is a rare phenomenon which occurs most commonly when a fetus dies during an abdominal pregnancy, is too large to be reabsorbed by the body, and calcifies on the outside as part of a foreign body reaction, shielding the mother's body from the dead tissue of the fetus and preventing infection.

On the wave of patriotism

Somewhere out there in a parallel reality, shamans are dancing their fabulous dance, shrouded in legends, while crowds of murdered young people rush past them... All this is happening somewhere far, far away, distant lands in a distant kingdom, or not that far?
